SMS Consent & Opt-In Disclosure

This page documents how IMARKETINGURU, LLCoperates SMS programs in compliance with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), CTIA Messaging Principles & Best Practices, and the A2P 10DLC requirements administered by The Campaign Registry (TCR) and U.S. mobile carriers.

1. Program Brand and Operator

  • Operated brand sites: seanshallis.com, imarketinguru.com, and other brand properties of IMARKETINGURU, LLC.

2. What Messages You May Receive

Depending on which IMARKETINGURU, LLC brand or campaign you opt into, you may receive:

  • Rate Guardian rate alerts:“Rosie just spotted a 0.25% drop on your scenario. Reply YES to review.”
  • Mortgage / loan customer care: document requests, scheduling, closing-status updates.
  • Loan Doctor Podcast updates:new-episode drops, listener Q&A confirmations.
  • Guardian Family newsletter: periodic content drops, event invitations, market updates.
  • Appointment & calendar reminders: booking confirmations and pre-meeting reminders.
  • Conference / event follow-ups: post-event nurture for events you opted into (e.g., ACCOM).

Each campaign is registered separately on the A2P 10DLC system; you only receive messages for campaigns you opted into.

3. How You Opt In

Consent is express and is collected in one of these ways:

  1. Web form — by submitting your mobile number on a clearly labeled form on seanshallis.com, imarketinguru.com, or any operated brand site, with a checkbox or notice that reads:
    By checking this box and providing my mobile number, I agree to receive recurring marketing and transactional text messages from IMARKETINGURU, LLC at the number provided. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message frequency varies. Message & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help. See our Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions.
  2. Chat widget — by initiating a conversation with our chat widget (powered by LeadConnector) and providing your mobile number. The same consent terms above apply.
  3. Text-to-join keyword — by texting a published keyword to one of our numbers.
  4. Verbal consent — captured during a recorded call and double-confirmed by SMS reply.
  5. In-person / event — by handing over a business card, scanning a QR code, or completing a paper opt-in card with the disclosure language above.

4. Frequency

Marketing-program message frequency typically runs 2 to 10 messages per month per program. Transactional and customer-care messages (e.g., appointment reminders, document requests, rate alerts you specifically subscribed to) are sent as needed. Message frequency varies.

5. Cost

Message and data rates may apply. Your wireless carrier may charge for sending or receiving SMS/MMS based on your plan. Check with your carrier for details.

6. Opt-Out

  • Reply STOP to any IMARKETINGURU, LLC SMS to be removed from that program. You will receive a final confirmation, then no more messages from that program.
  • You can also opt out by emailing sean@imarketinguru.com with “STOP” in the subject line and the mobile number to remove.
  • Opting out of one program does not opt you out of unrelated transactional messages.

8. Carriers and Supported Handsets

Major U.S. carriers (AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, U.S. Cellular, and most MVNOs) are supported. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Service availability depends on the recipient’s wireless service.

9. Consent Is Not a Condition of Purchase

You are not required to consent to SMS messages as a condition of purchasing any goods or services from IMARKETINGURU, LLC, Sean Shallis, or any operated brand. You may use our websites, request information, or schedule consultations without opting in to SMS.

10. Privacy of Mobile Data

Mobile numbers and opt-in data are never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for their own marketing purposes. SMS opt-in consent is treated as a separate consent and is not transferred between IMARKETINGURU, LLC brands without re-consent. Phone numbers used for SMS may be shared only with our messaging service providers (Twilio, LeadConnector) and as required by law. See our full Privacy Policy.
